Shenyang Metro Line 2 is the second subway line in the urban rail transit system of Shenyang City. It is the second subway line in Northeast China to carry passengers after Shenyang Metro Line 1. Due to its main body running in line with Shenyang's urban golden corridor, it runs through the six major districts of Shenyang, including Shenbei, Yuhong, Huanggu, Shenhe, Heping, and Hunnan. Therefore, it is also known as the "Golden Corridor Line".
Shenyang Metro Line 2 started construction on November 18, 2006 and began passenger operation on December 30, 2011. It starts from the University of Aeronautics and Astronautics Station in the north and ends at the Quanyunlu Station in the south, with a total length of 27.16 kilometers. All lines are underground, with 22 stations, 1 parking lot, and 1 main substation. The operation control center is shared with Shenyang Metro Line 1.
